Lorena Olmos, new manager of Enclave Formación

Lorena Olmos Rodríguez is from this March the new manager of Enclave Formación, a position in which she replaces Juan José Aparicio, who had temporarily assumed this responsibility, combining it with the management of Cotesa.

In this sense, in addition to making Lorena’s appointment public today, the management of Grupo Tecopy wishes to publicly express its gratitude to Juan José Aparicio for his efforts over the years.

The Valladolid-born Lorena Olmos, who holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Valladolid, began her professional career in the company as an assistant in the Training area (2012), subsequently moving on to perform the functions of training technician. And in mid-2017 he took over the management of the Training area, under the orders of Juan José Aparicio.

« We are facing a potential market that is much more prepared and inclined to face the change towards digital education and online learning models »

  • How do you face this new challenge as the new manager of Enclave?
  • With great enthusiasm, of course. But also, with the great responsibility of successfully achieving the goals we have ahead of us. We are at a very important moment for Enclave, since our sector of activity, like many others, has been greatly boosted in the last two years, due to the pandemic context experienced because of Covid.

During this period, administrations, companies, the educational community and society in general have found in technology a necessary tool to guarantee the continuity of training processes. The ‘forced’ digitalization during the periods of confinement has resulted in a potential market today that is much more prepared and inclined to face the change towards digital education and online learning models.

At Enclave, of course, we have to take advantage of this opportunity, enhancing our technological capabilities and positioning ourselves in the market as a benchmark company in our sector.

  • What are the most important responsibilities for you in this new phase?
  • Without a doubt, achieving the strategic objectives we have set for Enclave. These objectives mainly involve increasing our offer of technological solutions to provide greater added value to our clients, as well as strengthening our commercial action to access new markets, positioning ourselves as a benchmark supplier in the training sector.

If we achieve these objectives, we will be guaranteeing the growth of the company’s activity and our results.

  • How do you feel about this new responsibility?
  • I am very grateful for the trust that Grupo Tecopy has placed in me, and for the opportunity to continue growing professionally within this great family. Grupo Tecopy is always committed to internal promotion, and I think this is a clear example.

«It’s been ten years since I landed at Enclave, almost by chance, and it would have been impossible to imagine at that time all the road ahead of me.»

  • What does it mean in your personal and professional career?
  • It is a very exciting new challenge. It’s been ten years since I landed at Enclave, almost by chance, and it would have been impossible to imagine at that time all the road ahead of me. So far I have taken on each stage with a lot of motivation and it has been a constant learning experience for me, which I believe has made me grow as a professional. I am sure that this new stage will also allow me to continue to evolve professionally.

  • How would you briefly define training in the 21st century and what role can Enclave play in this market?
  • From my point of view, we are experiencing a paradigm shift with respect to traditional training models. Today, learning methodologies based on the acquisition of specific competencies and skills through experimentation, discovery and/or training techniques are becoming much more relevant, as opposed to the simple accumulation of memorized knowledge.

On the other hand, the roles in the teaching context are being inverted. Students will be the true protagonists of their learning process; and the main role of trainers will no longer be to transmit theoretical knowledge, which can be accessed by other means, but to accompany, motivate and mentor their students from a much more pragmatic and dynamic position.

And one of the main causes of these changes we are witnessing is undoubtedly the impact of technology and its multiple applications in training processes. Some of these technologies, such as artificial intelligence or virtual reality, are going to bring about a real revolution in the educational field.

Given this scenario, our main objective as a company is to position ourselves in the market as a leading provider of technological solutions to support the training processes of our customers, but without forgetting our consulting orientation, always offering customized proposals tailored to the needs of each project.
