This forum aims to be a meeting place for entrepreneurs from Castilla y León and Madrid, and seeks to promote public-private partnerships between the administrations and the business fabric of both autonomous communities.
The forum was attended by the President of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, and the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who have stressed the importance of taking advantage of the opportunities offered by both communities to generate momentum for the economic activity, flexibility in taxation to make the territory of the communities attractive and to continue promoting quality employment policies. They have also reflected on the improvement of the health situation thanks, among others, to the good rate of vaccination.
In their speeches they have also emphasized the necessary digitization as a key to competitiveness, but they have also referred to sustainability as an essential foundation for sustained and responsible growth, a strategy to be pursued that allows “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability to future generations and guaranteeing the balance between economic growth, care for the environment and social welfare ”.
In addition to the interventions of the presidents of both communities, other professionals and businessmen also took the floor. The forum ended with the intervention of the Director of Castilla y León Económica, Alberto Cagigas, who had words of appreciation for all the companies that fought to maintain their structures and professionals during the time of the pandemic, while at the same time turning to social actions to minimize, as far as possible, damage to society and health.
This forum is organized annually by Castilla León Económica and aims to be a meeting place between companies from both communities, so that networking can be generated that can be translated into opportunities for collaboration and promotion of joint projects. Among others, representatives of Caixa Bank, Tecozam, EFCL Iberaval, Iveco, Novartis, Deloitte, CEOE and authorities of the regional governments of Madrid and Castilla y León have participated.
We congratulate Castilla y León Económica for an extraordinary meeting!
