Using information sources such as the latest generation of earth-observing satellites, LIDAR flights (Laser Imaging, Detection and Ranging, a system which allows one to obtain distance information, similar to a radar but uses laser instead of waves) or spatial data in vector format, we are able to generate high resolution thematic maps, which are a versatile alternative to conventional maps and can be updated at a low cost.

The lines of business of Grupo Tecopy’s Environmental Department include the generation of basic and thematic mapping and the orthorectification of aerial and satellite images.

At Grupo Tecopy, we are experts in the processing of satellite images with any geometric resolution, including the highest resolution currently available (0.50 meters) and are able to carry out both raster and vector mapping on any scale.
