The Cameroon Ministry of Public Procurement has awarded Tecopy Ingeniería the contract “Technical Studies for the Construction and the Construction of Two Water Tanks in the District of Rey Bouba, Department of Mayo-Rey, North Region,” for a sum of 125,000 euros.
The work to be done includes the collection and analysis of all information and data necessary (topographic, hydrological, socioeconomic, agronomic, anthropic, hydraulic, geophysical, geotechnical, pedological, etc.) for the construction of 16 water reservoirs throughout the departments in the north region.
Following a site visit from 30 July to 5 August, Tecopy Ingeniería presented the preliminary studies to conclude phase 1 with a meeting pending to debate the solutions proposed and be able to finalize the designs.
The project by Tecopy Ingeniería (Lot 1), along with the project awarded to a French-Moroccan group (Lot 2), are pilot studies funded by the Government of Cameroon to determine procedures that will enable the development in the future of 50 similar projects with funding from the World Bank and the African Development Bank.
